$200 Million Bogus Gift to School

Solving a PSJA money mystery seemed more like a job for Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine.This past summer, someone delivered two postdated checks worth $200 million to the PSJA school district intended for a nurse and staff members at Alamo Middle School.
Tuesday was the day the checks could be cashed but they bounced.
PSJA Superintendent Arturo Guajardo says donations to schools are quite common but this one was a bit unbelievable.
The huge amount is a whopping $200 million that someone intended to give Alamo Middle School.So what's the story behind the checks? According to school officials, an elderly man supposedly fell here on campus.
He was reportedly so grateful to the nursing staff that helped him up, he decided to write two checks worth $200 million in appreciation.That happened this past summer.November 29 was the day to cash the checks.
But when the district went to the bank they were disappointed to learn the account was closed!
