A British computer engineer whose American wife and baby were found shot dead at their family home in Massachusetts has flown to the UK, it was reported tonight.
Neil Entwistle, an unemployed 27-year-old computer programmer has not been seen at home since his wife Rachel and nine-month-old daughter Lillian were found dead under a pile of blankets at their house in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, on Sunday.
But American police have refused to name Mr Entwistle as a suspect in their investigation, instead choosing to call him a "person of interest". Mr Entwistle's wife and child were found on Sunday when police broke into their five-bedroom home. Guests invited to a dinner party on Saturday night had found the house in darkness and no one home. _______________________________

There was very little blood on the victims and at first officers thought they had died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Post-mortem results, however, showed that Mrs Entwistle was killed with a gunshot wound to the head, as well as suffering another wound to the torso. The couple’s daughter died of a single bullet to the torso.
This evening a Boston television station, CBS4, reported that Mr Entwistle's name had appeared on a passenger list on a flight from Boston to London on Friday - two days before the grisly find.Adding to the mystery, a message appeared on the Entwistle family website, claiming that Mr Entwistle had been picked up from the airport by his father, Cliff, a Labour councillor for Worksop East on the Bassetlaw District Council.
Last night, US authorities said they knew where Mr Entwistle was but declined to name him as a suspect.
