Daytona Beach, Florida, (US):
After weeks of searching for the mystery caller who led investigators to the body of the third woman murdered by a serial killer, police determined he is not their suspect.
Police also revealed Tuesday they have combed through the car of that same victim after finding the vehicle abandoned behind a Ridgewood Avenue business.
"We found the car the day after the body was found," said police Capt. Brian Skipper, referring to the white Mazda driven by Iwana Patton.
Patton's body was found Feb. 24 behind a buffer of trees on a dirt road off Williamson Boulevard. She's the third woman murdered in the city since late December, victims of a serial killer, police said.
The other two women are 45-year-old Laquetta Gunther, whose body was found Dec. 26 in an alleyway off Beach Street, and 34-year-old Julie Green, who was discovered in a ditch at a construction site off LPGA Boulevard Jan. 14.
All three women were shot, police said, but little else about the crime scenes or the condition of the women's bodies has been revealed.
On Monday night, investigators interviewed the man who alerted police to Patton's body.
