Detectives hunting the killer of a man whose body was found in a quarry almost 11 years ago are to re-interview more than 50 people from the original investigation.
Police believe they may be able to help in tracking down a man who was seen on CCTV footage with Robert Higgins, the murder victim. The body of Mr Higgins, 35, was found in Kirkliston in West Lothian on May 1, 1995.
Despite numerous appeals, no-one has been arrested for his murder. The CCTV footage shows Mr Higgins walking along Main Street in Kirkliston with the man who officers believe may hold the key to establishing the chain of events that eventually led to the killing.
The last confirmed sighting of Mr Higgins was on April 27, 1995, when he left the home he shared with his mother in Dalmeny to travel the half-mile to South Queensferry.
