Washington (US):
The Army pledged yesterday to conduct a thorough criminal investigation that will attempt to cut through the fog of war enveloping the friendly-fire death of former NFL player Pat Tillman.
For the military and the Tillman family, the fifth formal inquiry into the shooting will seek to put to rest unanswered questions about the Army Ranger's death along a canyon road near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in April 2004.
