11 face loyalist terror charges after pub raid

Eleven men are due to appear in court this morning charged over an alleged rehearsal in a north Belfast bar for a loyalist paramilitary show of strength.In all, 18 people were arrested in the aftermath of the police raid on the Alexandra bar in Tiger's Bay last Thursday night.Six of these, as well as a woman arrested on Saturday morning, have now been released pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service.
The remaining 11 men are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court this morning charged with arranging, managing or assisting to arrange or manage a meeting in support of a proscribed organisation - an offence under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.The organisations concerned have been named by police as the Ulster Defence Association and Ulster Freedom Fighters.
