Police Still Seek Colonel's Killer

________
London (UK):
Police returned to Furneux Pelham in Hertfordshire on Saturday in a bid to find new clues to catch the killer of a retired army officer who was blasted with a shotgun on his doorstep two years ago.
The death of 83-year-old lieutenant colonel Robert Riley Workman on January 7, 2004 set in motion a murder mystery with all the ingredients of an Agatha Christie thriller and detectives still have no motive for the execution-style killing.
Among the few known facts are that Workman was found on the floor by his carer the morning after his death but that it was not until undertakers removed the body three hours later that it was realised he had been shot.
The mystery deepened when police released a "999" call to emergency services asking for an ambulance to be sent to the dead man's house on the night he was killed.
