It may not be in quite the same league as Jane Campion's movie masterpiece, but the discovery of a piano on Turakina Beach, about 20 km south of Wanganui, has local residents wondering what's going on.
Writer and actor Peter Hawes,who lives at the beach, said news of the find at the weekend spread quickly and it was already becoming an icon, the Manawatu Standard reported today.
