Entwistle Said to Shun Questioning by Police

Neil Entwistle, whose wife and infant daughter were shot to death in their Hopkinton home, declined yesterday to meet with Massachusetts investigators who had flown to England to talk to him, according to a source with direct knowledge of the investigation.Entwistle, who has been called a ''person of interest" by investigating authorities, had agreed to submit to questioning at the US Embassy in London, a Nottinghamshire police spokeswoman said. But the source said that after Entwistle met with an attorney in London, the embassy received word that he would not attend the meeting.''He is not cooperating with police on the advice of lawyers," said the source.Entwistle's decision came on the same day that the Middlesex district attorney disclosed for the first time that Hopkinton police checked his home hours after he flew to his native England, but overlooked the victims' bodies in the master bedroom.
