Pets Found Killed, Mutilated

Some Round Rock pet owners are finding their cats dead killed in different and mysterious ways.After finding the way they've been killed, they don't believe these are coincidences or accidents.Codo was a cat that belonged to a family with two little children. Codo was a cat that was found in pieces after it had been missing for days."The message was 'I think we found your cat. It was dead in our yard,'" Codo's owner said.Codo's owners don't want to be identified because they have other pets and small children, but say what they found was horrifying."The cat was cut in half.
Only the front half was there. There was nothing messy about it. It was very clean and precise," Codo's owner said.It was two little girls who actually discovered the cat, lying right in the middle of their backyard.Codo the cat isn't the only one in the neighborhood that has shown up dead.
Round Rock Animal Control has answered two other calls in the last few weeks. One cat was found mutilated. Another was poisoned."It could be wildlife. You could assume it could be accidental with the poisoning. The bludgeoning. It could have been hit by a car. But then again, you have to take into consideration. It could be a sick person out there too," Round Rock Police Sgt. Rod Hampton said."It was really strange that the kitten disappeared because it would just be out here in the garden with me when I was working," Round Rock resident Marcia Hart said.
If it is a sick person, Marcia Hart might be the latest victim. She lives in the same neighborhood and in the last couple of weeks, two of her kittens have gone missing."I mean if this is going to happen to a pet, what next?" Hart said.
Parents in the neighborhood are now just worried if this is a precursor to something more, and they're wondering what to tell their children.
