Skeleton Discovered Could be of Woman Missing for 30 Years

A skeleton discovered last week could be the remains of a woman who went missing around 30 years ago, police said last night.
Officers investigating the case in Llwydcoed, near Aberdare, said the skeleton could be that of a woman aged in her 60s who went missing from the area in the 1970s.The discovery was made by a member of the public and the remains have been subject to forensic examination in order to determine their age and origin.
The woman's description at the time fits the items of clothing which were discovered at the scene. Her family have been told of the development and have provided a DNA sample which is now being compared with a sample taken from the remains.
