Mystery Pills in Cereal Box Identified as Party Pills
Stuff.co.nz, New Zealand
Tests have revealed that a packet of mystery tablets found by a 15-year-old girl inside a packet of Weet-Bix cereal were party pills.
The Weet-Bix was bought at a Palmerston North supermarket for a softball tournament at a youth camp and was opened by one of the young players. The girl who found them said they were in a snap-lock bag sitting on top of the cereal inside the sealed bag.
The manufacturer, Sanitarium, has confirmed that the tablets were party pills, National Radio reported yesterday. Private investigators hired by the company said the pills were probably inserted after the manufacturing process.
However, the company said it was reviewing manufacturing processes to see if any changes should be made.
