Why was Moles Pushed?

In a move which was as sudden as it was ruthless, Cricket Scotland last week dispensed with the services of Andy Moles, the coach who last year led Scotland to the ICC Trophy in Dublin to secure their passage to next year's World Cup.
Back then, you could almost reach out and touch the feel-good factor as Moles and his splendid team looked forward to a trip to the Caribbean and a mouth-watering clash with Australia next spring. Now, like Jim Love, Mike Hendrick and Tony Judd before him, Moles, a man held in high esteem in cricketing circles around the globe, is considered surplus to requirements.
Yet no-one at the governing body's headquarters in Edinburgh has been able to offer a plausible reason for Moles' leaving. Bosses even described the ousted Englishman's departure as a "resignation". That, of course, is nonsense, but why was Moles pushed?
