Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture (Japan):
A U.S. serviceman has admitted to killing a Japanese woman here on Tuesday, police said.
The serviceman is a crew member of the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk stationed at the Yokosuka Naval Base, Kanagawa prefectural police said Thursday, citing a U.S. Navy investigation.

Yoshie Sato, 56, was found collapsed on a stairway landing near the entrance to a building around 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, bleeding from the head.
Video footage from a security camera on an adjacent building showed a woman believed to be Sato talking with a man appearing to be a U.S. serviceman, investigators said.
