Student's Body Near Minister's Residence: Mystery Deepens

A young man who was found murdered with a bullet wound in the stomach under highly mysterious circumstances near the official residence of Union Tourism Minister Renuka Choudhury in Lodhi Estate here on Thursday morning was later in the day identified as 21-year-old Puneet Munjal, a native of Panipat in Haryana.
A student at the South Extension branch of Arena Multimedia, Puneet had come to Delhi after completing his education in Panipat. He had been living with a family friend at Andrews Ganj in South Delhi for the past four months.
Enquiries revealed that on Wednesday evening he had gone to meet someone at Dilshad Garden in East Delhi and did not return. Around 7-30 on Thursday morning the Police Control Room received a call claiming that the body of a young man in a leather jacket and jeans was lying in a Lodhi Estate lane.
The body bore a bullet wound but there were no bloodstains on the spot. Circumstantial evidence suggested that the murder was committed somewhere else, after which the body was dumped in Lodhi Estate.
