A murder mystery spanning two East Tennessee counties remains unsolved.
The victim's body was found in Scott County, but his head was found in Clinton. Investigators say the man was around 50-years-old.In some ways for the Scott County Sheriff's Department the investigation has become a bit of a wait and see thing. So far test results have yet to come back which might help identify the victim.
While the waiting game is continuing the Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help. They have received several tips, but tell us the flow of information has slowed."We check them all out.
At this point we haven't connected any of those with that particular crime. We need them to keep sending us information. Sooner or later we are going to hit one of these and we'll find out something we really need to know," says Captain Carson.
