Colorado (US):
Authorities temporarily quarantined dozens at a high school Thursday and began testing the air after a mystery illness forced the school's evacuation and sent five people to the hospital.
Three students and six staff members at Falcon High School reported symptoms that included swollen eyes, difficulty breathing and rashes, Falcon District 49 spokesman Joe Cole said. El Paso County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Clif Northam said four employees and a student were transported to a hospital as a precaution.
"They did not appear to have any serious illness at the time," he said.
Northam said at least 60 people were quarantined for about two hours as authorities determined the illness was not contagious.
"It's absolutely unknown. We have no idea," Cole said. "They weren't coming from the same area. They weren't eating the same thing. They weren't coming from the same classroom."
There were no strange odors or chemical spills reported at the school, but at least two other people reported feeling ill earlier in the week.
