A mother yesterday pleaded for information about her missing daughter - who police fear has been murdered.Ann Nicholl, 50, fought back tears for Jenny, now 20 if she is still alive, to say: "We need an end to all this. "We need whoever is responsible to stop the terrible anxiety and uncertainty that has ruined our lives for nearly five months."
The North Yorkshire force believes that mysterious text messages sent from Jenny's mobile phone in July were a bid by her killer to throw them off the scent.
Shop assistant Jenny was 19 when she vanished in the Yorkshire Dales on June 30.
Her car was found at the Holly Hill Inn on the outskirts of her home town of Richmond four days later .
