Gregory Park, Portmore (Jamaica):
Medical personnel are yet to determine the cause of death of three persons who died under mysterious circumstances in Gregory Park, St. Catherine more than three weeks ago.
Fourteen-year-old Lisa Moncrieffe, 17-year-old Keidiean Duhaney and 28-year-old Denvor Taylor of Gregory Park died after suddenly falling ill.Commanding Officer of the St. Catherine South Police Division, Superintendent Elbert Nelson, told the RJR News Centre Wednesday morning that the results of autopsies conducted on the three bodies have been inconclusive.
Initially suspicions were that their deaths were linked to the drink distributed by Food for the Poor. But the charity organisation, Food for the Poor consistently declared that the drinks, which are distributed island-wide, could not have caused the deaths.
Superintendent Nelson says tissue samples have been sent to the government laboratories in Kingston for further tests. It is hoped that these tests will reveal the cause of the deaths. In the meantime, the charity organisation, Food for the Poor, says it is anxiously waiting on the conclusive findings.
