Long Island, NY(US):
The boyfriend of a woman found slain in the exclusive north shore Long Island neighborhood of Sands Point was arrested in Ohio on a drunken driving warrant, police announced Saturday.
Edgar Sanchez, 34, of Mastic Beach, was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant from a DWI arrest seven months ago in Suffolk County, said Detective Lt. Dennis Farrell, commander of the Nassau County police homicide squad.
"He is most definitely a person of interest" in the slaying of 24-year-old Elisabeth Parisi, Farrell told a news conference at Police Headquarters, although he emphasized Sanchez was not a suspect at this time.

A tip from federal marshals led to the arrest of Sanchez, who has prior convictions for attempted petty larceny and possession of a controlled substance.
The slain woman's body was found last Saturday morning by a passer-by in the village of Sands Point, about 50 miles away from her home in Mastic Beach. Sanchez had failed to appear for a court hearing Wednesday on the DWI case as Nassau police were investigating the death. Sanchez was arrested without incident at a Geneva, Ohio, gas station/mini-mart, the detective said.
The victim's car, a 199 Oldsmobile, was recovered early Saturday morning in Highland Hills, Ohio; the slain girl's family had reported it missing on Oct. 13, before Parisi's body was discovered.
