Two days after kidnappers had threatened to kill an American hostage in Iraq, there is still no word on her fate.
Gunmen in Baghdad captured twenty-eight-year-old freelance journalist Jill Carroll two weeks ago.Two prominent members of the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations flew to Iraq Saturday, joining an international appeal for her release.
The group's executive director proclaimed that harming Carroll would do the kidnappers "no good at all." They've been demanding the release of all Iraqi women held by the U.S. military.
