The Mi Jay left Nelson on November 22 with three crew on board and was expected to head for fishing grounds off the Canterbury coast.
The vessel was due back within two weeks but there has been no contact with it since it left port.
Rescue Co-ordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ) spokesman Steve Corbett this morning said it was still a mystery as to what may have happened to the 13-metre boat. Following an extensive aerial search on Tuesday, RCCNZ yesterday contacted ports and other boats to try and find out whether anyone had seen the boat over the past two weeks.
Despite the investigations and media publicity, Mr Corbett said no new information had come in.
