Nude-Squat Inquiry: Woman Weeps on Seeing Video Clip

The woman in the centre of the nude squat incident broke down and wept in court yesterday when she was shown the controversial video clip of herself.
The 22-year-old Malay woman, who has a dadah charge hanging over head, viewed the video in the packed courtroom.The screen, however, was placed in such a way that only the woman, members of the Independent Inquiry Commission, inquiry officer Suhaimi Ibrahim and the deputy public prosecutors, could view the video clip.

The rest of the courtroom could only hear the Quran recital in the background.The woman, who is three months pregnant, regained her composure shortly after and answered questions posed to her. The woman, dressed in a purple baju Melayu, black head scarf and a blazer, was the fourth witness called.
Her identity will not be revealed.The commission ruled that her name, photograph and other details leading to her identification be barred from publication to protect her privacy.She was also escorted into and out of the courtroom by two women police personnel. Her face was covered with a blazer.
