"Doosri Radha" Divine Cop Happy After Settlement with Wife

Adding another turn to his strange saga, D.K. Panda, a former top Uttar Pradesh police official, who is a self-proclaimed reincarnate of Radha, the consort of Hindu god Krishna, claims to have received ultimate 'solace' after ridding himself of his estranged wife.
Panda, a former inspector general of police, says he is a relieved man after reaching a settlement with his wife Veena. The settlement was reached after the intervention of National Commission of Women (NCW) chairperson Girija Vyas on Friday.
Speaking to IANS over phone from Allahabad, Panda said: "It is such a relief now that there is no one to create hindrance between me and my god Krishna. I can now immerse myself in him without anyone to distract me."
Panda was in Allahabad where he signed an agreement with his wife to pay her a lump sum of Rs. 1.5 million ($331,000) with a monthly alimony of Rs.7,000. A 1971 batch Indian Police Service officer, Panda decided to take voluntary retirement last month.
