Looks like a smell plaguing an elementary school in Waverly will stay a mystery.
The E-P-A says West Cedar Elementary has been given a clean bill of health despite complaints about the smell, which has linger for more than a year.
The district has spent about 170-thousand dollars trying to track it down.E-P-A spokesman Greg Crable says data collected by an engineering firm shows the odor is no longer a threat to most people in the school.
He says the irritants were likely created when some compounds in the air mixed.
