Wilton, New York (US):
Police and security officials evacuated three stores in the Wilton Mall after an unknown powder was found in a clothing store Friday.
Saratoga County Sheriff's Department hazardous materials officers tested the substance on Saturday, said sheriff's Investigator Michael H. Zurlo. But, police did not release results of the tests. A woman shopping at rue21 in the mall was trying on clothing when she came into contact with the powder at about 7 p.m.
She felt irritation in her mouth and eyes and alerted workers in the store. The Maple Avenue Fire Department and county hazardous materials team responded to the mall and evacuated rue21 and two neighboring stores, police said. The stores remained closed for about 90 minutes before reopening, Zurlo said.
The woman was checked by the Wilton Emergency Squad and did not require further medical treatment, police said.
