A Southern Colorado woman is being shown the world by the Count of Monte Cristo. For nearly 30 years, A secret admirer who uses the name from the 1840's play has sent gifts to Frances Meese from around the world.
Meese says her admirer shares more than just a name with the story."The joy of this count to go back and give a blessing to this village through his riches and to sail away knowing he had been a great benefactor to these people I think is the whole thing with the gifts to me," says 80-year-old Meese.
The gifts stopped coming last year and Meese fears her count may be ill or dead, but she says she'll never forget her Count's generosity and thoughtfulness.
