Kaye Stewart: The Family Still Searching
TVNZ
____
Wellington (New Zealand):
Five months ago Wellington woman Kaye Stewart mysteriously vanished. On June 13 the 62-year-old went for a short walk in the Rimutaka Forest Park and was supposed to meet her daughter Tania afterwards, but she failed to return and no sign of her has been seen since.
Wellington police carried out one of their biggest ever searches extensively canvassing the park and appealing to the public for any information on Stewart. It was to no avail.
No-one can say for sure what has happened to the retired physiotherapist, who used to treat some of our top athletes.
Her husband Bob Stewart says she was fit, healthy, happy and content, which makes what happened on June 13 even more inexplicable. The last sighting of Kaye Stewart was at 1:05pm at a Department of Conservation (DOC) work centre in the forest park.
She had stopped to ask for directions to her carThe directions Kaye received that day couldn't have been more simple. All she had to do was walk down a driveway and onto the main road, then head a couple of hundred metres down to the park entrance and then along to where her car was parked.
But when another DOC worker drove past just five minutes later - there was no-one there - sometime in that ten minutes Kaye Stewart had vanished.
