Deep in the woods of Herkimer County, state police are investigating a series of mysterious arsons.
Authorities say someone's been methodically torching century-old camps in the 53-thousand-acre Adirondack League Club, an exclusive preserve with only 400 members.In the past five years, six fires have been set to five of the A-L-C's cabins.
The Times Union of Albany reports one of the camps was rebuilt and burned down a second time.Investigators agree the arsonist is an experienced woodsman with an intimate knowledge of the private land.
