Police investigators are puzzled over the death of the chief of the investigation division of the Batangas City police who was found dead with a bullet wound in the head inside his vehicle early Saturday morning.
City police chief Superintendent Nilo Anzo said they had yet to make an official statement on the mysterious death of Inspector Felizardo Panaligan, 47.
Panaligan's body was discovered by a tricycle driver inside the victim's jeep along a road in Barangay Gulod in Batangas City at around 6 a.m.
"We are still awaiting the results of forensic and crime laboratory examinations [on Panaligan's body]," Anzo said in a text message sent to the Inquirer yesterday.
