A year later, still no clue of vanished couple
Newsday, NY
Trenton, New Jersey (US):
A year since Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone vanished after leaving a South Street bar in Philadelphia, investigators say they've made some headway in the case and that they aren't considering closing it.
But as each day passes hope is dwindling that Mount Laurel's Imbo, who would now be 35, and South Philadelphia's Petrone, who would now be 36, will be found. The couple's credit cards and cell phones haven't been used, and a $100,000 reward for information on their whereabouts is untouched since their disappearance on Feb. 19, 2005.
Petrone's 2001 Dodge Dakota has not been spotted either, investigators say. "What's unusual is the fact that we didn't find anything. No credit card activity, no cell phone activity, no bank activity, no vehicle," Philadelphia Police Detective Eric Johnson told The Philadelphia Inquirer for Sunday newspapers. "Normally, we find something." Yet while the case is stumping authorities, each day equals more pain for friends and relatives of the disappeared.
