Nepal Massacre 'Mysterious'

Kathmandu (Nepal):
Calling the Nagarkot massacre 'mysterious', various human rights bodies and student unions have strongly condemned the incident and called for an independent and immediate probe into the incident.
They have also demanded stringent action against the 'faulty mechanism and individual responsible for it'. Issuing a press statement on Thursday, Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) said that later development of the carnage has rendered the incident even more mysterious. "Why were the evidences of carnage obliterated before it was dawn? The statement read.

HURPES also demanded that the state ensure that the weapons of security forces, which are meant to provide security to the state and the people, would not be used against civilians.
Strongly condemning the mass killing, student bodies, affiliated with the seven agitating political parties, have called on all students to strongly protest it.
Meanwhile, issuing separate statements, Federation of Nepalese Journalists and the Nepali Congress have strongly condemned the incident.
