Five More Foreign Missions Receive Mystery Parcels
Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia):
Five more foreign missions Wednesday received parcels with a compact disc (CD) laced with a yellow liquid and white powder.
The parcels were sent near simultaneously to the US, Russia and France embassies and the British and Australian high commissions at 10am.
Personnel from the hazardous materials unit from the Jalan Hang Tuah fire and rescue station and a bomb disposal unit were sent to the British High Commission and later to the US, French and Russian embassies and to the Australian High Commission at 1pm.
A Bernama check at the missions showed the situation was calm without any sign of commotion and panic among the staff unlike yesterday.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mustafa Abdullah said the five parcels received today were believed to be from the same sender.
