Mystery On The Street Of Death

Detectives investigating the mysterious death of a man found lying in a Scarborough street said today they still have no idea what killed him.
The discovery of the body in Victoria Park Avenue at 1am yesterday sparked a full-scale police response.Two people were arrested and taken into custody while a post mortem was carried out. Both were released on bail.
Crime scene investigators cordoned off the scene yesterday morning and laid out 23 forensic markers which led between the door of No. 19 and a tent which was put up over the body, found six doors away outside No. 31.Residents said they believed the man had been stabbed but police today revealed that the post- mortem failed to establish a cause of death.Toxicology tests are now being carried out on the body.
A police spokesman said today they have no reason to suspect foul play in the man's death.He said: "The post mortem was inconclusive in establishing the cause and we are now awaiting the results of toxicology tests."However, at this stage there are no suspicious circumstances."The man, who was found bare-legged, had no forms of identification on his body and detectives only managed to find out his identity last night.His name was expected to be released later today as soon as his next of kin had been informed.
