________
Television personality Lana Coc-Kroft is the mystery woman caught up in the celebrity drugs case involving sports stars Marc Ellis, Brent Todd and Josh Kronfeld.
Coc-Kroft obtained an order preventing her identification in relation to the case, but has dropped a bid for continued name suppression. The High Court at Auckland confirmed to The Dominion Post yesterday that the suppression order had lapsed. Rumours swirled around her since police last year busted what they called a "white collar" drug ring involving cocaine, ecstasy and methamphetamine.
Police bugged a converstaion in which former league star Todd alleged that Coc-Kroft, a former Miss New Zealand, wanted to buy cocaine and "pills". She was also filmed visiting the apartment building of an alleged dealer, who told Todd that Coc-Kroft had been texting him. When her name cropped up in initial speculation, a statement issued through her agent expressed surprise.
