Torching of parked cars in Sharjah baffles police

Sharjah (UAE):
A spate of mysterious incidents over the past two months, including torching of parked luxury cars in Sharjah, has baffled the police investigating the crime. At least three to four incidents of torching cars are being reported every week.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, an official from Sharjah Civil Defence said no specific statistics are available for such incidents, but the police operation rooms received several complaints from different areas in this regard. Officers who rushed immediately to the accident sites to help extinguish the fire and investigate the incident, have yet to make any arrests in these cases.
