Seattle, Washington (US):
The gunman arrived on Capitol Hill prepared for war with an unwitting enemy, armed with the pistol-grip shotgun and semiautomatic handgun he used in his murderous rampage and a Bushmaster assault rifle that sat unused in his truck.
Seattle police on Sunday confirmed general details about the second-largest mass murder in the city's history but revealed little else about Aaron Kyle Huff, 28, the man officials declined to identify but who they believe walked into a house party early Saturday and executed four young men and two young women, all unarmed, before taking his own life.

Kyle Aaron Huff is identified as the man who killed six people on Capitol Hill. Two wounded men remained in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center. Family and friends, however, have identified four of the victims as Jason Travers, 32, Jeremy Martin, 26, Christopher Williamson, 21, and Justin Schwartz, a 22-year-old known as "Sushi."
"He was talkative from the day he was born," said Martin's sister, Katy Martin. "He'd be at a party and I'd be talking to him on his cell phone and he'd pass it along so I could meet all of his friends. He was very non-violent and he loved his friends as much as he loved his family."Late Sunday, investigators still were trying to find a motive for such extraordinary violence from a hulking, quiet young man who neighbors described as "polite" and "respectful" and who had only minor brushes with the law here and in his hometown of Whitefish, Mont.Neighbors could provide few answers.
