Future of development unknown after land deal expires

Grand Rapids, Michigan (US):
A big mystery development in Grand Rapids remains just that-- a mystery.
The secret developer was expected to be named Thursday afternoon. But no new information was released, after a land deal apparently fell through.
Grand Rapids businessman Mark London held a news conference to announce he did not close on the sale of a 2-acre lot at 234 Market Street.

"I'm sorry to inform you that the buyers did not show up to the close," London told reporters. The site at 234 Market Street is part of the larger 30-acre site under speculation. The entire land in question is bordered by the Grand River, U.S. 131 and Wealthy Street. London is constructing a strip club and adult retail business his property.
He says work will now continue, and he expects to open by May. While he wouldn't reveal his asking price, London says it was a "fair deal."
