Suspicious Smell Plagues South Shore Neighborhoods

Braintree folks living in East Braintree have been dealing with an offensive odor for the past week and town officials have no idea where its coming from.
The Braintree Fire Department starting taking complaints from residents in the Quincy Avenue/Fore River Basin area on December 30th. They likened the smell to methane gas.
They've ruled out a nearby hazardous waste treatment site but have been unable to pinpoint the source of the smell.
