Copterline Crash: Investigators to Compare Soundscapes

The Estonian-led accident investigation board tasked with finding out what caused the August Copterline crash that claimed 14 lives decided Friday to launch soundscape comparison tests.
The soundscapes of normal helicopter flights and that of the accident aircraft are to be compared to identify possible aberrations."To my knowledge such an investigation has not been carried out in Finland before," Hannu Melaranta, a Finnish member of the board told the Finnish News Agency (STT) on Friday.
Mr Melaranta added Finland's National Bureau of Investigation would take part in the analysis of the data.
