A 94-year-old man hit a pedestrian on his way to a McDonald's in St. Petersburg, Fla., and continued driving with the dead man's body on the roof of his car until he was stopped at a toll booth, according to police.
Investigators said Ralph Parker hit the man on 34th Street in St. Petersburg Wednesday night, according to a report.
He then drove several miles with the victim partially on the roof of the car and through the windshield.Investigators said when the car approached a toll booth at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, a worker noticed blood dripping from the broken windshield.
When the car stopped at the toll booth, the body slid off and went through the windshield and into the passenger side of the front seat, according to the report.
The toll booth operator thought it was a prank.After police were called, the victim's severed leg was found at the scene of the incident.Investigators reported that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
